Naporwrimo colour

Little scrap of a thing about my funny relationship with the colour yellow I hardly ever wear it unless its part of a rainbow or pattern and only recently started wearing gold and brass colours.

‘’yellow is the colour of my true love’s hair in the morning’’

Yellow was my favourite colour, in an early school photo

I am all white blonde bob and large highlighter t shirt

Rejected soon for clashing now only wear flashes of gold

On the walk to the bus stop winter-coated still, I see

There are dozens of dandelion suns radiating their petals

Bravely yolked flowers shouting down the brassy late daffs

Mustard stains in the park Lurid as warning signs

despite the wind they tell of spring
